Dragon Tooth Amethyst
Description
Directly sourced from the mines of Brejinho das Oliveiras, a small town in the Bahia State of Brazil, this Dragon Tooth Amethyst retains its raw, untouched state, displaying its natural form.
It embodies the utmost (AAA) Super-Extra quality an Amethyst can possess: a flawlessly contoured point (completely natural, devoid of cutting or polishing), adorned with numerous Phantoms (Amethyst phantoms develop during the quartz growth phase) and a deeply rich Purple hue, often referred to as Grape Jelly Amethyst.
Adding to its allure is the internal configuration, showcasing Black Goethite Inclusions akin to the crowning jewel on a crystal cake.
Furthermore, this specimen takes the form of a sizable wand, weighing 2 lbs and measuring over 12.5 inches, exemplifying Amethyst perfection.
This variety of Amethyst goes by various names:
Bahia Amethyst
Elestial Amethyst Wand
Dragon Tooth Amethyst
Dragon's Teeth
Amethyst Root
Bahia Amethyst is composed of three distinct quartz compositions: the bottom layer is clear quartz, followed by Smoky Quartz, and the apex consists of pure Amethyst. This unique combination is what sets Bahia Amethyst apart.
